How to protect your empty property
You may think that because you have locked your vacant premises, that somehow you will be immune from attackers. Any property that is left empty is vulnerable to people who's way of thinking is to break-in and make it their own. But how do you define an empty home?
It may be a rundown terrace house somewhere, or a new luxury apartment. There could be a number of reasons why the property is empty, lots of rental properties could result in fewer tenants. it is possible that it has been vandalised or decayed and cannot be let. The government estimates that there are currently one million empty properties in the UK, with about four out of five being privately owned. If you are one of the aforementioned landlords, you could be wondering how you are going to protect your property. There are several different ways to consider, which are dependant of size and type of property. If the property is not surrounded by grounds, it may be worth considering security screens.
Security screens for winsdows are manufactured from high specification stainless steel. it is not a good idea to use wooden board, as this will rot over time. The other obvious drawback of using wood is the tendency to burn rather easily. If you provide someone with the means to set fire to the property, then a fire will not be much of a surprise. Steel is important as it gives the impression of solid management, key to discourageing any trespassers.
If the property has grounds that need protecting, then the approach is to use security fencing. This permanent security fencing would challenge the most serious of trespassers. The standard form of fencing is the Pallisade, which ships in the galvanised look. The fencing can be obtained in a range of suitable colours depending on your taste!
If you require protection of an entrance to some land or a large driveway, it would be necessary to use some concrete barriers. They are a great blocking system, and look good repainted in the style that suits your corporate identity.
