"I can deduct the improvements in my rent if I work with a property manager or only if I manage?
I have the intention of renting my house. I have made substantial renovations to the property. They told me I could write these improvements in the home when home becomes a rental support. What I'm not clear is whether I can write things if I'm working with a management company property or if I have to manage the property myself. Not sure if there is a difference. Le appreciate any clarification on this from people in the know! I want to make sure I can write these improvements, since it exceeds $ 25,000 at this time. Thanks.
The management is a moot point. In fact, if you pay a property manager who could be discharged as well.
