It’s inevitable you will need to speak to someone at some point and the speed and manner in which your query is dealt with will either make you a fan or put you off totally!

It is best to use my term furnished apartment rent long term?

I have a 2BR/2BA apartment in Hilton Head. Is a beautiful resort with private beach. Right now I have it rent long term. I receive $ 650/mo after management fees. Similar units rented for $ 750/wk for short term rentals. Am thinking it may make more sense to do short term, but what else do I need to know to make an informed decision? Would have to be rented for just 11 weeks a year to do what I'm doing now.

I think you should rent for short term rentals if you can really get much for it and not there is sufficient demand to rent for 11 weeks or more. It would also be able to use it during the week is not for rent. Or you can use it as a kind of favor or commercial with friends and family, allowing use it for a week for free. The only concern I have is maintenance and upkeep during the off season. Also, consider that the property management to take a lot of your time unless you hired a property management and rental company.
